How much does general aircon servicing cost?
General servicing for one unit costs S$45 to S$90 at the companies we checked. The per-unit price drops quickly as you add units: Cool Aircon charges S$55 for one unit but S$75 for three, which is S$25 a unit.

What is the difference between servicing, chemical wash and chemical overhaul?
General servicing is a routine clean of filters, surfaces and drainage. A chemical wash removes the fan coil and cleans parts with a cleaning agent. A chemical overhaul dismantles the whole unit and cleans each component, so it costs the most.
- General servicing handles routine dirt and drainage cleaning, according to FixMove. aircons.sg includes a 9-point pre-check.
- Chemical wash is for heavier build-up on the coil, blower and drain pan when normal servicing is not enough. FixMove says it takes 60 to 90 minutes per fan coil.
- Chemical overhaul involves fully dismantling the unit, per aircons.sg. SJR's overhaul price includes the outdoor condenser.
Are aircon servicing contracts cheaper?
Usually, per visit. Cool Aircon's recurring plans start from S$115 for two units twice a year and go as low as S$20 a unit on larger multi-unit plans, below its one-off price of S$55 for a single unit.
SJR quotes annual contracts of S$280 to S$420 for four visits on a four-unit system. Before signing, check how many visits are included, whether chemical washes are discounted, and what happens if you need a repair between visits.
What changes the price of aircon servicing?
The number of units is the biggest factor, followed by the type of service. Gas top-ups, unit size, after-hours visits and parking can add to the bill.
- Number of units. Most companies discount from the second or third unit.
- Gas top-up. Priced by refrigerant: aircons.sg charges S$115 for R22, S$130 for R410A and S$170 for R32, including leak detection.
- Unit size. Cool Aircon's overhaul prices apply to 9,000 to 12,000 BTU units.
- Timing and access. aircons.sg adds S$50 for 10pm to 7am call-outs and S$10 to S$20 for CBD parking. FixMove adds a S$10 fuel surcharge and S$30 for urgent or chosen time slots.
